Select (Grade AAA) — Finest cuts with tight, consistent grain, deep purple-red to golden-brown colouration, and optimal density for maximum energy transfer. For high-end builds where aesthetics and acoustics are equally critical.
Premium (AA) — Excellent tonal performance with attractive grain and reliable density. Minor natural variation in figure and colour adds character. Ideal for professional and semi-professional instruments.
Luthier's (A) — Acoustically sound with some cosmetic variation in colour or grain. Structurally stable and correctly dimensioned. A practical choice for student builds, prototyping, or workshop use.
